minus thirty five

I’ve now lost 35 pounds, down 10 since the last time I posted a note on here. I’ve had less motivation to exercise lately, but that’s mostly because I’m kind of bored of doing the same things over and over. I started trying to jog regularly but my knees are semi-gently reminding me to take it easy on that front, so I’m going to delay that Couch to 5k program. Don’t get me wrong, exercise is still part of my routine every morning, but I’m just having less fun with it and doing a bit less. But that’s fine. If you know of a good workout video, please let me know (something that isn’t hard on the knees).

Also, summer is approaching fast! I’m concerned because it’s been pretty easy to fit good habits into a pre-existing schedule, because all I have to do is wake up a couple of hours earlier than I would otherwise for school and plan my eating around my free time between classes. The harder part will be this summer, when I have to stay motivated to continually eat healthy and exercise regularly when I don’t have any sort of regular schedule going on. For that reason, I’ve decided to plan out my summer ahead of time (a horrifying idea to many people, but I very much enjoy living by schedules). I want to cram lots of adventures and plans in there. I want to occupy my time so that I don’t have time to spend bored, sitting around and eating. Or watching reruns, which is the most addicting time-sucker I know. I have a couple ideas of things I want to do, but if anyone has suggestions, I’d love to hear them. I’d gladly occupy my time with learning a new skill or reading new books, or anything else interesting. I just want enough goals for the summer where I can essentially make a syllabus for what I’m going to accomplish each week (an idea I’m stealing from the ever-inventful Jenny). I’m actually very excited for this summer!

Additionally, it’s worth noting I’m getting pretty close to my goal! At this point, my goal is to lose 50 pounds, which means I’m 15 pounds away!
